Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm aware that this forum may not actually be the place to ask, but best fit.
I'm looking at buying two baby denon dn-s1000 cd decks and a baby mixer.
State-side these are $399 x 2 and $299 (or less) for the mixer. The prices offered by UK websites are ridiculous. Richersounds can only be worse. It would probably be cheaper to fly over and carry them home. (Although I don't think you are allowed do that?) So does anyone have ideas on how to get these decks over from the states?

Well if you fly over and bring them back, you'll more than likely have to take them out of the boxes so they aren't brand new,
richier sounds is a compleate and ****ing rip off, stear well clear
have you tried thorntan.de(think theurl is spelt wrong) helix will prob reply with the url he loves the site.
I ahven't seen this decks are they better than the technics one, would you not settle with the pioneer cdj 800/1000?

Well lenny, thing is, while i'm well into my music, i have no experience, these are a HELL of a lot cheaper than the pioneers or the technics, they're very small, portable, and have most of the features offered on the bigger denon cd decks.
they sound ideal for me, i'll wait till i see an actual review before i buy.
    not out till october!

If you get a chance to actually use them then hang on and wait for that. There's a lot to be said for actually seeing how the buttons and controls feel and fit. If your new to this then be careful. Don't buy the best just cos its cool but don't buy inferior products (generally!) or middle of the road stuff if your planning to stick with this. That way you'll avoid trying to sell 'em to buy a better pair or being uncomfortable with the established products if your DJing elsewhere.

Detailed reviews are the way to go because most people in shops are too anxious to show their own knowledge/ability as opposed to helping you choose for you.

    That's my experience.
