New Sky One Logo

I just noticed at lunch time that Sky One has a new logo today.

I really don't like it, but I guess I'll get used to it.

It looks like they are trying to incorporate the little light ring thinghy from the Sky+ boxes.

I myself preferred the old logo, but I thin it's very notvicable to the SKY+ ring light: a clever way of advertising it.

Still, no change for sky mix(Changed their name to Sky Mix from Sky One Mix?), but you can't really make circular letters out of MIX, can you?

Ah, now that sounds like a challenge.

Double McDonalds style curve for the M, double two-thirds circles for the X (top and bottom rather than left and right) and either a big I thrusting out from the middle or put two curves at both ends of the I. It'd look bleedin' 'orrible though.

I like the new idents, but why does the colour of the "One" in the logo change during the day?

It seems to be orange in the afternoon, then grayish blue in the evening, and then I think it goes gray at night?

maybe sky thinks its viewers are too stupid to tell the time of day. wouldnt surprise me tbh

Its not the first time they did it. the do it every 18 months or so. remember the old (before SKY | one ), where it was a square with one in the middle, and sky making up the left hand side of the top part of the square?

They change them every 18 months. There have been a couple they had to ditch after a few months though because they were really ****e. Girl running with baloons, chick walking dogs. Those got annoying.

yeah i thaught the old one was cool but the new one does me head in it just semicircles but the intros are nice with the new colours

Looks cack but it'll grow on me. I preferred the one Snapscan1212p (they're a crap scanner btw, as I have one ) tried to show, it was grand.

sky onc is an improvement IMO, it is smaller and closer to the edge of the screen.

I hated the bland orange of the previous look.

I beleive that the new head of Sky One wants to get away from Ibiza Uncovered type programming.

This is the same head of TV for FIVE who suggested, Porn, Soccer and Movies just for FIVE.
