FTV Card Question

    If you get a sky viewing card (with the yellow house) from the UK but it not "active", you will not receive ITV, CH4 and FIVE automatically on channels 103-105 but you can still view them via the Other Channels menu. Is this true?

    If the card is not active you will not get ITV, 4 or 5 at all. In other channels or on 103 - 105. You will only get the Free UK line up BBC, Sky news and the other free ones.

    Yes this is true

    Channels 103-105 will only appear in the EPG if you get the card "activated"
    This is done by taking out a one month subscription to an adult channel such as xplicit 984 (cost between five and eight pounds)

    AFIK the card and box need to be plugged into a UK phoneline on the day you activate it but can be taken outside the UK therafter

    Thanks for the info. It was just something I wasn't sure about. I noticed some FTV cards for sale on ebay were not active but it was not clear what that meant exactly.
