Old City, New Dreams: A Week of Big Ideas. *

October 4th - 10th, Ron Blacks, Dawson Street, Dublin 2.

As Dublin evolves, it diversifies, expanding in directions as yet
unexplored. A consequence of this rapid growth is that the city's
people often feel disconnected, like stockholders in a faceless
    corporation.

With this in mind, The Dubliner and Ron Blacks has organized a
citywide annual general meeting of sorts, an opportunity to take
stock of where we are and where we're going in art, politics and
    intellectual thought.

The cultural forum is the first of its kind in Ireland. 'Old City,
New Dreams' is a weeklong series of events that includes debate,
drama, lectures, photography, film and music presented by some of the
most influential and creative people in Ireland today.

This truly is a forum of and for the people: the events are free and
open to the public. Events are held from about 11 am until 10 pm,
Monday, Oct. 4th through Sunday, Oct. 10th, 2004.

Participants may request two tickets per event by sending an e-mail
to mailto:ron@thedubliner.ie, with the name and date of the event
you'd like to attend in the subject line. Tickets will be distributed
on a first-come, first-serve basis, so reserve soon.
