STO Plasterers

    Having problems finding STO plasterers for a self build in wicklow. This is a fibre glass based exterior plastering system. So specialisied its difficult to find enough people for a competitive quote.

    Also looking for roofers, electricians and the usual

    Any help would be great

    If the plaster is competent it shouldn't matter whether he is used to STO or not
    It is exactly the same as applying any plaster. except that you put the basecoat on first, push the fibreglass mesh into it and let it dry.
    Then finish with the final coloured coat, and sponge for a rough finish.
    Many plasterers will have worked with Stucco which is a very similar system.

    You could try Qmaxfinishes in Rathcoole, they have a Parex product that is similar to STO. I'm surprised to hear that STO cant recommend a tradesman other than the company in the North, l thought that they had a Dublin office?
    I would agree with what CJhaughey said
