What is the deal with tipping the dealer? Is it optional or is it bad etiquette not to? Also, how much?

As an example, lets say you won the SA event on monday and got 1000 EUs, would you tip (only have dealer for final table) and how much?

It is entirely an option but it is done by the majority of players.
Its a bit of a different situation when we only have the dealer for the climax of a tournament as opposed to throughout the entire event.
In a normal event, casino run dealers throughout etc, we recently came to a general concensus on another thread that 5% from 1st and 2nd should do the trick.
In the SA game you should give all the money to us, no only kidding, its up to you how much if any thing to give, a token gesture I feel would be appropriate but its entirely up to you.
BTW I like the confidence that you are going to win the event again :)

You should keep 10% for yourself and leave the rest at the desk in a brown envelope marked "Marq". And that, my friends, is correct etiquette.

5% from 1st and 2nd should do the trick.

I'd say it would be nice if anyone who makes more than their entry fee left a little 3-5% as well....

Personally I'll only tip if I've won a good bit. Then I'll tip well.
