you know that film "back to the future"
well i was thinking about that the other day and it had me really confused,
like why is it called "back to the future" when they go back to the past?
was it that i was too young when i saw it or something
hehe or i just didn't get it.. ???

in the end.. I'm the last one standing.

at the end the Doc tells Michael J. Fox that they must go back (cos Doc has already been there) to 2015 to save Fox's kids 'we have to go back... back to the future!!!!' or something like that, last line of the film I think.

Yes but I think we should get an expert to comment on this one. I mean is the future a place? How can one physically go back to something that does not exist? Being as it is impossible to go 'back' in time, is it not impossible to go 'forward'? Who would have thought that an appearent 'family' movie could be so deep and poetic.

So the pope puts down the Badger and leans over to me and says , ' My son , sometimes you talk a lot of ****.' Knock it off'. Before I could speak in walks Micheal J. Fox with a time machine under his arm and just then...it started to get weird...

Marty came from 1985... he went back to 1955.. at that time Doc said something along the lines of "we have to send you back to the future"... makes sense since 1985 was where he came from and where he must be sent, and funnily enough was the future from the point of view of Doc in 1955.

I won't lose any sleep over that one...

He doesn't have Alzheimers. He has Parkinsons disease.

and yes Time is a place if it's actually linear to define it as forwards or backwards is another issue. I guess it's relative to the direction the person is facing (or in this case travelling along the time line in relation to the normal flow to us humans).
