Im hoping to get ~ 4000 , with my 6800GT oc'd to ultra, p2.4ghz, 1 gig ram. This is roughly what people with similiar rigs are getting. They say it runs like a slideshow
I pity people with 9800pro's and below!

Have 50% of it now. Only an hour to go. I'm not getting a great speed on the download.

L5 do you have that 2.4 overclocked? If not you're being very cpu limited using a 6800ultra. You wouldn't get the full potential of the card at 2.4ghz. If it's a 2.4 Northwood and not a willy it should go over 3ghz easily enough.

cpu test 1 - which is the canyon flight...wait for it..1.9fps! (with a 64 bit cpu..sigh)
cpu test 2 - return to proxycon - 3.1fps!

cpu score - 3676


i feel well and truly ....gutted lol

return to proxycon is cool though, the bloke with the gatling gun..i gotta get me one of those! :cool:

btw my vid card is running at 455mhz core and 760mhz mem..so its a bit over the 412/730 stock...i think your geforce will die mate lol ..i didnt know if my card would even finish after the forest one :eek:

This always happens with new 3dmark tests. It takes about a year for people to get decent frame rates and another year for people to get good frame rates with newer gen graphics cards.

Even 6800ultras and x800xt's won't fare too well on this benchmark frame rate wise. I lke the 3dmark tests though. They are usually a good indication of what games will look like in two years time.

im not that bothered i guess...im only mid 7k on 03 so i expected pretty crap for this...they do look damn good though

ill have to get a new vid card next year just so i can view them properly, it was the same with 03..stuttery as hell with 9200..got this card and..omg its a demo not a slideshow!

lol...when i was getting 1fps at the beginning of the canyon 1..i thought it had crashed!...er..wots happen..! oh god its moved.....and again!....and so it went ..in super slow mo...i ended with something like..200 frames..is there an expression worse than *this sucks*..i think it would be pretty apt around now...although the watercooling will be set up next week..i will get 2fps!!!!!

if i can get 3000 with my current card after a lot of tweaking/ocing the card and the cpu and what have you..then i guess ill be happy

around 6000 are they actually rolling demos and not just stuttering crap?!

There not that bad at all but the cpu ones are in and around the 3 to 5 fps so there jumping but the frist couple look sh*t hot ..ill post some snaps in a while

lol, I imagine it would if I'd gone out and spent €600 on the latest gfx card... Mark03 was choppy as hell for me, so no surprises here.
Although I would have expected more of a show from the 'bleeding-edge' cards out there... think I'll hold off upgrading a while longer

its only stutters in the cpu benchmark, the first couple of them are GPU test, run nice and smooth, frame rate not great but if you not looking at the frame rate, you wont notice the different! mines running stock, when I get my LGA775 3.4 and the board I'll bench it again with it, should get here in a week hopefully! i dont expect to get 6000 tho, as I be running stock first!

With my 9800 Pro OC'd I got 2560

At stock I got 2249

CPU score of 3957

Hey I didn't note it the fist time I ran at 3.6ghz and can't be arsed changing the settings aagain.

At 3.5ghz I score 4566 in the cpu test.

its stock for now..but i thought amd64 was good for gaming and stuff!

is it the general thing around here that Intel seem to be scoring higher cpu tests then...?

The directly comparable AMD and Intel processors at stock are one story, i.e. the AMD tends to come out top. But you simply cannot OC the AMD64 processors the way you can the Intel processors.

At that, its only a tiny difference.

yes but...are you telling me a 3.5ghz intel SHOULD" beat my amd64 3400+ by like...25%...i knew they was different..but not that much!

its just im noticing a lot of intel users getting 4500+ and us amd64 guys getting around 3600's...

seems a little odd imo

Well my ram was running at 500mhz for that test with 2.5-4-4-7 timings and a system fsb of 1000 so I'm sure that helped. A gig of it at that.

That exactly what mine is running at too... The gig is the only difference..

i.e. my FSB is 250 with a multiplier of 14 with Gold OCZ pc4000 ram at 2.4-4-4-7

That's weird, it must be the extra ram. I'd say the benchmark must use more than what you have free so the ram has to constantly update from the virtual memory on the hd. Your processor would be spending more time doing this so your losing some performance.

That's a pretty high spec system, you really should be running 1gb of ram. Time to order another stick I think.

I've done some research on mully technology and it's pretty ground-breaking.

Just google it, there are plenty of links.
