Turn all graphics settings to performance in your graphics card settings. Shut down all backround programs except the essential ones that keep windows running. Disable wallpaper, windows xp fanciness, anything to save ram.

LOL, I actually never had it up at 1280 x 1024, I play my games at 1024 x 768, and all tests were done at 1024 x 768, Must have been drunk when i typed 1280 x 1024, thats the reason i lowered the center window so people could see my settings and give me any tips!

Don’t be to upset most people on this forum aren’t breaking the 5000 mark, you came very close to it. But your chip is letting you down a bit. What’s you 3Dmark2003 Score?

id say your going to get some nice scores if you overclock... let us know how far you go and if you get over 6750

Reckon I'll try for a 6000 first, not really overclocked anything since my K6-2 333 (@400 I think) back in 1999!? so a touch out of date! But so far the X800 looks good to hit 520/550 with ATITOOL, so that'll be a slight improvement But think I'll leave 6750 to the pro's or at least till I get SLI next year!

Make sure AA and AF is off and turn down all settings to performance in ati control panel. Shut down all backround programs and ram eaters. o/c card and processor and you might give dub a run for his money.

i think ill have to pump mine up abit and hit that 7000 mark WAY TO CLOSE FOR COMFORT ...congrats thats a very nice score very nice indeed do you rekcon youll get more out of it ...if so ill have to get a X850XT :eek: im nearly finished my new watercooling set-up ..ill have to try it out on an unlocked p4 2.4 that i have and if the condinsation doesnt cause any problems ill put it my main system at the moment heat seems to be my only hold back as i dont have my voltage up all the way ...

Hmmm..... seems the X800XT is being wholly uncooperative! needs more cooling than the standard fan, and push the processor to 5% overclock & 3dmark dies after the first game section! Ahh well, need some alternate cooling all round before I get anywhere interesting

What is your specs on that system your running ??? is the screen freezing or are you crashing and rebooting when you overclock

Happened to me as well. I originally overclocked it at 580/595 and it went well until the dragon part, it just keeps going in loop. I'm going to get an Artic Cooling and some ram sink for my card than I'll have my card o'ced 24/7

By my calculation its only 259 dub. The pack is moving in for the kill. I will be able to challenge from next week, just waiting from my water cooler.

If i could get 3dmark 2005 to run on my system, we'd see, LOL ordering a new watercooling system for the graphics card tomorrow, so i may be able to push the core to near 600 with a pencil mod, pity the cards only a pro, if it was XT it would be kickin ur ass , hahhahah

System runs no problems at 5%, half life 2 plays, but 3dmark05 either dumps to windows or reboots!(No problems at 3% but only scores 5655) Seems the ASUS bios still isn't the most stable anyway, might try the beta rev., oddly though 3dmark will run to completion(at 5%) on xp64 but only at a score of 4700'ish.

But specs:
A8V (bios rev 1008.003)
Athlon 64 3800+ @ 2472
1024MB ram at 2.5-3-3-8
X800XT @ 506/515 (any higher and i get a shedload of artifacts on 3dmark)
And nothing but standard fans cooling it all

Well tracked down my problem..... PSU is rubbish (only 350watt:D) and as the oc goes up voltages are all over the place, knew I shouldn't have skimped on the case :rolleyes: I might try pick something up tomorrow, but after xmas is more likely.

Actually no.... But when I was puttin all this kit together wanted a coolermaster case but kinda forgot to order one! So ended up grabbing the first available case from a shop, and it included my crappy ass PSU, which is actually only 330watt :rolleyes: Will probably get one of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Enermax_111.html (first one on page)
