    Tasha Yar.. Why did she (Denise Crosby) leave the next generation? I assume she wasn't let go as they kept bringing her back whenever they could.. So why did she leave?

    And while we're on it why did that Terry Farrell one leave too? And then she left Becker! Once ya can forgive, twice? She must just be a nut..

    She quit because she wasn't getting enough actiony scenes. Immediately jumped into crap movie mode. In fairness, she auditioned for Deanna Troi so she was doing well with what she got.

    Farrell had a bit of aggro with Rick Berman over money. He decided to kill her off, she wanted the character to just leave, got killed off anyway.
    And then she left Becker!
    Fired in favour of Nancy Travis, who was also cheaper. Farrell's starting salary for becker was twice what she was getting on DS9. Never got a pay rise after that though (apart from Ted and his wig, no-one did)
