Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks.

I'm meeting some African-American friends of mine in a fortnight, and I've promised to show them the Dublin black 'scene'.

Thing is, since the Temple Bar Theatre closed down, I don't know where to take them. Any suggestions?

    Lewis

They'll be here for over a week, so we have lots of options. I'll try both venues.

    Doesn't Voodoo cater for hip-hop?

Strange, I don't think I ever met any black people in the Temple Theatre (not in Temple Bar, btw). Scangers by their 'undreds, yes.
Strange, can't think why you would go all the way to Ireland and want to visit 'black' clubs, if there's such a thing.

Oh, doesn't the Hub do some a r n' b/hip hop night on a Wednesday night?

who are the 2 people who gave me neg rep for saying moore street?

all the other answers are bull****, they are giving info about places that sometimes play music that some black people listen to.

my answer on the other hand gives the nmae of a location where a good many black people work in dublin. am i a racist for this???

yet more abuse of the rep system by overly P.C. fools who dont know what they are talking about

    Thankyou all.

Yeah, the hub has R 'n B nights, it's usually jammed.

There's also Parnell Mooney, which has a reggae night, and despite it being a stereotype, it is full of black stoners that night. Great craic though. Everyone is stoned off their tits. :D
