Hi folks.

I'm meeting some African-American friends of mine in a fortnight, and I've promised to show them the Dublin black 'scene'.

Thing is, since the Temple Bar Theatre closed down, I don't know where to take them. Any suggestions?

They'll be here for over a week, so we have lots of options. I'll try both venues.

Strange, I don't think I ever met any black people in the Temple Theatre (not in Temple Bar, btw). Scangers by their 'undreds, yes.
Strange, can't think why you would go all the way to Ireland and want to visit 'black' clubs, if there's such a thing.

Yeah, the hub has R 'n B nights, it's usually jammed.

There's also Parnell Mooney, which has a reggae night, and despite it being a stereotype, it is full of black stoners that night. Great craic though. Everyone is stoned off their tits.
