Hi. I am looking for some help with a complicated wireless setup. One of the guys I work with is getting broadband in to work from home. To connect to our office network our head office has said that he must use a specific Netgear Ethernet router, which they will supply and configure. His problem is that he wants to use a wireless setup so that he can use his laptop anywhere in his home. Is it possible to plug a wireless router into a Netgear Ethernet router and enable the wireless functionality? Or are they wireless base stations available that can plug into the router?.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

you can connect a wireless access point to anywhere on your LAN so that you can have wireless connectivity to your wired LAN.
the IT folks in 'the office' may have issues with this since they are providing the broadband service ... so make sure you use sensible security precautions
some wireless AP have DHCP built-in so you'll probably want to disable that since the Netgear device will, presumably, take care of all that for you.
