    a satellite dish is needed.

    In other words you can set it up to your neighbours SKY dish and look at all the available channels which are free to air.

    any dish? what size and stuff. i know very little about this stuff, it has to be said.

    all i know is i want as many free channels i can get......... :D

    Dish size depends on what you want to watch - you mention the BBC Channels, so for them all you need a "bog standard" Sky Minidish the same as anyone else in your neighbourhood.

    ok so,

    assuming i get this usb receiver for laptop.

    what do i need, say a 80cm dish and a lnb..........thats it?

    also the satellite finder. i dont feel like paying excess odds to get a dish installed>
