Hopefully tonite will be the nite that the Blues qualify for a first cup final since 1986.
Sides are reasonably evenly matched but after recent semi losses to Shels & Longford hopefully it'll be a case of third time lucky for Alan Reynolds' men.

Would like Waterford to win but away to Derry, very hard game tbh a draw would be the best result for them.

2-1 to the Blues & derry down to 10 men.
H-time & looking good.
peno by 'keeper dan connor of all people to put us ahead.
8th minute daryl murphy put the blues ahead & 4 minutes later damien byrne equalises.
Hopefully its not a game of two halves as Waterford are well in control.

Blues back in the cup final & i finish work now so we may well have a few:-)
it will be final number 9 & only 2 wins 1937 & 1980.
Hopefully number 3 on the way.
Drogheda or Longford bring them on.

Pity about the conditions, it could have been a far better game if conditions were better.

I didnt get to see the game coz I was on my way to see Norwich play today but I'll watch it when I get home tomorrow nite. Great result for the blues and hopefully we can go on and win the final. Pity I can't make it to the final coz I'll be in Madrid

Madrid will always be there but Blues in the cup final ? Its taken 18 years even to get there & 24 without a win.
Really excellent performance by the Blues in Derry friday nite & a cup final appearence won for the first time since 1986 well deserved.
As a long time supporter of Waterford Utd with 3 season tickets in the house its great to be back in the cup final again.
Have been following Waterford since the days of Thomas, McGeough, Buck, Casey, brennan, Hale, matthews. This side were supported by people from New Ross, Wexford, Carrick On Suir, Clonmel & Kilkenny as well as Waterford city & county. They were the south east representatives in a league of ireland where shamrock rovers & cork Hibs were the other big names.
We had some great days against Celtic, Galatasaray & Man Utd in Lansdowne & now its a first ever cup final at the rugby venue. Looking forward to it on October 24. My advice cancel Madrid
