Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's two cardclubs on/near merrion square. The fitzwilliam and the merrion both have poker, blackjack, brag and roulette.

Check the poker forum for more details.

You stop being the public when you join the club.

You can just go in and join up, so the transition from member of the swinish multitudes to cigar-chomping, monacle-toting toff (like Henbane there) is entirely painless.

No Casino's me arse - there's loads of them.

The 2 main ones are :The Merrion - In Merrion Square http://www.merrioncasinoclub.com/

    and The Fitzwilliam Cardclub
    http://www.fitzwilliamcardclub.com

Both Clubs are free membership - need I.D. The Fitzwilliam will give you a free 10 Euro bet apon recieving membership. Must be over 18 no other rules really. Both Clubs are tailored around poker, but there are a variety of table games such as BlackJack, Roulette, Brag etc.

There are other clubs around town : Silks, www.silksclub.ie, The 78 Club, www.78club.com and The Colossus, which is just off Camden Street. There's more around but they are the main ones.

The Merrion and the Fitzwilliam run tournaments with buyins and rebuys ranging from €10 to €100 to €250. Almost all tournaments are Texas Hold 'em with only one or two being five card draw or Omaha.

They also run pot limit cash games mostly a mix of Hold em and Omaha. You'd need €50 to sit down and the smallest of these and you'd expext your €50 to look miniscule in comparison to what other people sit down with.

I'd highly recommend taking in the tournaments in either of the clubs. They're great fun - check the poker forum for more details.

Some of the other boards lads and myself organise tournaments twice a month. Check the site in my sig for details.

they have slot machines in leisureplex. ah reminds me of vegas.. well not quite.

I heard about fitzwilliam as they had that one on a brochure.
Oh and gambling illegal? Tell that to bookies who will take a bet on the very subject... hell they will take a bet that elvis is the next person to walk in the door :D

Was invited in work to some casino night thing but i did not go so i knew they exist.

The Suited Aces event on Monday is primarly an individual event. The team event will be ran along with it at an extra cost of €40 per team. You don't need a team to play in it.
