Excuse my ignorance but what's a USB reader?

    Its reads USB's, silly

well, really it plugs into a USB port, and you can then plug in your memory cards, from your phone, camera etc

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

So it's a "Memory Card" Reader rather than a "USB" Reader?

What type of Memory Cards this this one read?

Well, it is a USB Card Reader, 'USB' defining the interface, 'Card Reader' defining the function.

They can generally read MMC & SD cards.

But that particular offer is over, so its a moot point really.

Furthering one's knowledge is never a moot point.

Well the thing is, different USB card readers can read different types of cards, depending on which one you get. That particular one I'd say was fairly basic, but google for card readers and you'll get an idea of what types of memory cards you can read with them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

Ah I actually have one. It came with the Memory Card I bought for my phone. I always just called it a "Memory Card" Reader rather than a "USB" Reader, hence the reason for my original question.

    Not sure actually.

Normally a freebie is to promote the brand/product, a bit pointless if you dont know what it is.

When did you apply for the sim cards, give it another day or two if you applied the day i posted it. You still can apply from the original link
