Anyone try printing a few and using it a second time? or is it a one time deal?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,169 ✭✭✭Eoineo

They ask the staff to write the card number etc on the bottom of the voucher so I'm assuming that's to prevent you from getting more than 1.

Any vouchers for Xtravision I've used in the past have a unique code in the top right hand corner. Not this one though so I'd be interested to hear if anyone does this.

    Use BT11AA for the postcode.

  • Registered Users Posts: 370 ✭✭UCD AFC

Will that mean they'll get the address right?

Could you use that for anything then?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

BT11AA is the Belfast sorting office. Usually any post they get they forward it on down to the ROI.

You could use it for anywhere that ships to UK only, but sometimes the sorting office don't forward it down. So if you're purchasing anything use it at your own risk!

  • Registered Users Posts: 370 ✭✭UCD AFC

Ah I see, the last few days I was searching for a freebies website (I love 'em) and I may aswell try on the UK websites. Thanks for that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,183 ✭✭✭✭Atavan-Halen

Just enter in your address as normal, but put in your county somewhere and Ireland aswell.

I put BT1 1AA for anything I buy on eBay or otherwise online. No way I'm paying the seller's rip-off charges for EU postage when BT1 1AA works just fine.

Thats at least part of the issue- I would hazard a guess that less than 1/4 of the EIRE post with a Belfast postcode actually gets sent down here. For freebies when there is no cost associated with the recipient- you can afford to loose a significant quantity of them- but for items of value- its simply not worth the risk. With ebay you may say- you don't pay if you don't get the goods- you are acting fraudulently according to ebay if you do this however.

Hey, I just found this thread yesterday and have been e-mailing and clicking forms like a madwoman since :)

Just wanted to let ye know about donedeal.ie, if you sign up for their newsletter, you'll only get one every month (no spam) and there's usually a giveaway (sign up now because they'll definitely have one at Halloween and Christmas) - all you have to do is go in and leave a comment relating to whatever subject they're talking about. It does say WIN, but I've gotten something from every single giveaway so far, so my guess is that they have hundreds/thousands of products. I've gotten a bottle of "anti-monster spray", an alien TV channel changer remote (that I sold on eBay for €22 :D), a massive box of choccies, and the other day I got a donedeal bottle opener and beer can sock thing. http://www.donedeal.ie/donedeal/

Here's another few I've come across lately, no idea whether or not they work, but worth a shot.
http://freefridgemagnet.com - this one's for a free fridge magnet of their choice, it does say open to US, Canada and UK, so I used the code.
http://www.babiesonline.com/wristband/ - a free pink wristband saying "Mommy To Be" - I had this one filled out before I realised that I am NOT pregnant, and was perhaps going too far with this freebie thing.
    http://www.freakyfreddies.com/sticker.htm - free stickers
http://bradshawconsulting.com - free T-Shirt, USA, but didn't have to enter State, just put Ireland in address part.
http://cubebix.com/giveaway.html - :D compressed t-shirt!!! Like one of those magic facecloths, you have to soak it in water to unfold it. I really hope this one arrives.
http://freemilliondollarbills.com - a free million dollar bill. I entered Rep. of Ireland, AA for state, and 0000 as Zip. Yes, it's pointless, but free.

When I was little, I made my summer pocket money by winning competitions in the Far East magazine :D and writing letters of complaint to companies - I remember one year I got a postal order every few weeks, and then the jackpot - A popcorn company sent me a month's supply of popcorn and peanuts. I was the happiest little popcorn-filled scrounger in the West :D

I searched boards. It was back at the start of May when we ordered them. Damn they are slow.
