Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Biog:

    TRANSPARENT SOUND

Transparent Sound are one of the UK's longest-running
electro acts. Formed in 1994 by Orson Bramley and Martin
Brown, both of whom grew up hip hop, electro, '70s electronica
and seminal proto-electro groups Visage and Cabaret Voltaire,
they set about creating their own unique and thoroughly
futuristic vision of electronic music. Their first 12" was released
in 1995 on their own Transparent Sound Recordings imprint.

2002 was a great year for Transparent Sound due to two
well-received releases. The first of these was 'Beatz Clash',
a double-pack mix CD alongside Keith Tenniswood
(Haywire/Rotters Golf Club/2 Lone Swordsmen) on Long Haul.
While Tenniswood's mix focused on the harder breaks style,
Transparent Sound's mix explored a darker, more melodic
strain of electro. They followed this later in the year with
their own debut artist album 'Emotional Amputation'
    on Billy Nasty's Electrix imprint.

The music press warmly received both of these albums.
    They said:

''Emotional Amputation' is the best electro album out this
    year.' Jockey Slut

''Transparent Sound at their cinematic best.' DJ

    'Filthy, low-down electro-scrap... Transparent Sound packs a
    solid punch. Jaw-busting.' SleazeNation

The 'Emotional Amputation' tour that followed saw the group
rocking dance floors from London to Leeds, Stockholm, Malmo,
Dublin and Manchester. This tour continues in 2003 with proposed
dates in the US and further trips across Europe.
As well as being a formidable live act (both in their traditional melodic
electro form and, as of late, a more fast-paced, club-friendly guise)
Orson Bramley also DJs as Transparent Sound.

Martin and Orson released a second, more musically diverse
album late in 2003 on their new spin-off electro label,
Orson Records. The label will not only be an outlet for their
own releases, but also for new and up-and-coming electro acts,
A&R’d by the boys themselves. Of the forthcoming releases,
Bramley says "It's the same as before, only better:
forward-thinking, widescreen electro for the 21st
    Century - and beyond!"

Three EPs have now been released on the label: The
Artificial Arm’s ‘Armtronic Action EP’, Point B’s ‘Fictionary EP’
and a remix package of TS’s classic ‘Freaks Frequency’.
The next release will be an EP of new Transparent Sound
    Material.

They have just put together a brand new live set which was
debuted at the second Trans Europe Express festival
at London venue Cargo in May, where TS played live
alongside Patrick Pulsinger’s Church Of Carbon, Bangkok
Impact and DJ TLR. They also made a live performance
at this year’s Sonar festival as part of an Electrix showcase.

DJs who love to play Transparent Sound's tracks are Adam
Freeland, Mad Mike, Laurent Garnier, Colin Dale, DJ Hyper,
Keith Tucker, Tayo, DJ Rolando, Dave Mothersole, Andy
Weatherall, Keith Tenniswood, Danny Macmillan and Red
Snapper's Richard Thair, to name but few.

Transparent Sound are currently working on their
    brand new, as-yet-untitled third album.
