referring to the german keepers assault / tackle on a french player in the 1982 world cup. A friend wants to see it. Thanks.

If it helps it was a punch in the face of Battiston in 1982. He poleaxed somebody else (can't remeber now) in '86. They don't make them like that anymore

Although I shouldn't laugh, it was one of the worst fouls ever. I don't know if Battiston ever even played again.

Which broke 3 ribs fractured his jaw and knocked him into a mini coma. Never touched him

Worst foul ever, France didnt even get a free kick for it.

A terrible foul.
Schumacher went on to save a penalty and the Germans won the match.
He died soon after in a car crash.
