How can I get these to work together? Got my IOL broadband modem in the post and linked it to my PC - works fine. Then, when I try to put the Linksys Wireless Router in between modem and PC, can't get it to work. Haven't had the chance to have a good look at it but it's got to be some of the settings? I used my IOL username and password on the router. What other settings do I need?

The simplest think is to change the ZyXEL box to "bridge" mode, so that it's not acting as a router.

You'll confuse the hell out of the linksys if its "WAN" interface is using the same 192.168 subnet as its "LAN" interface. When the ZyXEL is in "bridge" mode, then the WAN interface of the Linksys will be the 213.202.something address from ESAT.

You'll have to set up the PPPoE accounts settings on the linksys too.

There is no reason why it shouldnt work.

If your using your modem as a bridge (make sure it supports it and is in bridge mode) and enter the settings on the wireless router.

Otherwise setup your modem with your DSL settings and configure its DHCP server. Connect the wireless router to it and just set it to accept settings from DHCP. No need to enter the username or password on the router setup screen.

Cheers lads. Got that working by using the Zylex as a bridge and using PPPoE on my Linksys router. Also enabled WPA Pre-Shared Key which I think is the strongest form of security available on this router.
