Need a company who does Printing work

This is the first time I am opening a thread, but I'm kinda stuck in a situation.
I am currently in some of the last stages of creatig a company, have suppliers, have put in the registration, etc.

But one thing is causing me sleepless nights, is finding a company who specialises in Printings, e.g. menus, business cards, flyers, business Paper and that kinda stuff.

Also someone who might know someone who can finalise certain designs for us.

Would really appeciate help on this

You will possibly find you need two things (a) an originator (an "artist") to do the design work (b) a printer to carry out the work. Both will be fickle.

Some printers will employ originators.

the originator isn't really the problem, we have an artist working on it allready, the problem is, that we need someone to print the stuff in the way we need it, but thanks for your response though

You could try Printworld in Dominick St,Dublin. I had some work done by them before and it turned out fine.

Try www.printing.ie - it has an online system to calculate the cost of your particular job.

The arrogant sounding but obvious answer to an awful lot of queries you see on Boards is "ring 'em up and ask 'em!".

The golden pages is completely fuill of print and design shops, if you don't have a golden pages you obviously have a computer so try goldenpages.ie

They're all only too willing to sell you stuff.

Now, if you're looking for recommendations that's a different matter altogether. Printing.com are good, they're pretty cheap and if you ask them for their sample pack you get to see in advance exactly what you're going to buy. They offer design service too where they'll sit down with you and help you with your designs but that's of dubious value and you'll probably find you've got at least as much talent and imagination as the person you're working with...

didn't really think it osunded arrogant, but I was only moreless curious if the guys who replied, had any experience in these areas, and just put examples to clarify what exactly I mean.

Thanks for the stress councilling but don't forget, anything you read on a forum is just an opinion, often from some spotty guy (or gal) sitting in a bedsit wearing nothing but his underpants (and as far as you know I too am similarly perched semi-naked amongst the folds of my duvet).

So I wouldn't balance the fate of my company on anything I read here.

don't worry about that, the opinions are good, my problem was I have actually used the Golden pages but to no avail.
I found a company in Germany that could do what I need, but before I go with them, I wanted to see if someone might know of a place I didn't find there.

As for stress counceling, if you need more, just post a thread, am allways glad to help, hehe

Have you actually asked a few printers here if they do what you want? As with any service they only advertise the run of the mill stuff usually even though they have the capability of doing more.

Did I understand correctly that you just want metalic foil print? I'd be surprised if you can't find people who do it locally if you ask them as you do see a fair bit of it around (as you say, menus, invitations, fancy booklets etc).

Maybe if you really really can't get what you want locally you should change what you want...not a good idea to get yourself hung up on suppliers you can't get at easily.

I know what you mean with the sippliers.
I have asked some of them directly, but nothing has really spiked interest sofar.

It isn't pure metallic, but there is a Gold component in it what seems to be causing a lot of problems for them here,.
