I was around my local Superquinn lately when I saw what looked like a huge big pile of seriously out of date oranges....looked rank  ....anyway, turns out it was actually Ugli Fruit, which apparently is a Jamacian fruit which tastes something like a cross between an orange and a grapefruit! news to me, anybody know what these are like? I am tempted to go buy some out of curiousity....

Well then do! It's ages since I had an Ugli Fruit. The warty-looking skin is quite thick but the inside is the same segmented citrus style as an orange or grapefruit. It's quite tasty as long as it's ripe.

Yummy things, haven't seen them in ages though.
