Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Premier
    League Standings, played points
    Shelbourne 29 56
    Bohemians 29 48
    Drogs 28 45
    Cork Village 27 44
    Waterford 28 42
    Longford 28 35
    SPA 29 33
    Derry City 28 33
    Shams 30 31
    CHF 29 21

    Fixtures

    Friday Night
    Waterford -V-Cork Village
    Shelbourne -V- Bohemians
    SPA -V- CHF

    Saturday Night
    Longford Town -V Shams

    Monday Night
    Waterford -V- Bohemians

I'll start with Waterford against Cork. If Waterford win, then it should end all hopes of Cork Village's title hopes, maybe even their quest for second, especially if Bohs beat Shels tonight. Waterford will still be harbouring hopes of maybe third place, a good season for them, and a win may set that up for them.

Shels versus Bohs for the second time in a week, in Tolka Park this time. Shels will be out for revenge, and to open up an 11 point gap on Bohs.

SPA look to be safe, but could be vulnerable to a near relegated CHF, who will be looking for points tonight, and hoping Rovers drop points against Longford town in the Flan Siro tomorrow night. The disarray Rovers are in could inspire CHF, and will give Longford hope of three points tomorrow.

Monday sees Waterford playing Bohs, and depending on tonights result, this could go either way. If Bohs win tonight, then they'll be on a real high, and three points here could take them to within 2 points of Shels. However if Bohs lose tonight, then they will be 11 points adrift of Shels, and Waterford could take advantage of a disheartened team.

As bad a display as the Blues have given all season.
A dreadful own goal from Alan carey, who had a stinker by the way in midfield,
to start with but Willie Bruton equalised against the run of play just before half-time.
The second-half was a disaster for the Blues but it has to be noted that Cork, with maybe 600 travelling fans were much more up for it.
A 4-1 defeat & player manager Alan reynolds stupidly gets himself send off in injury time.
Hopefully they'll show more guts Monday v Bohs at home before preparation for the cup final starts for real on Tuesday.
Pity cause a win last night would have given as a great chance of European qualification with Drogheda faltering at present.
Big home crowd last night also. Over the last few years every time the home crowd turn up in numbers the performances are dreadful.

4-1, Reynolds being sent off, total football played by City??? What a night!

It has to be said that Waaherfurh were p*ss poor. Dan Connor is erractic. I wouldnt blame Carey for the goal at all, it was Connors fault completely. He just watched it trickle in. Bizaare.

Title race is certainly opening up.

Good game at Tolka on Friday night. I didn't think there was any way back for Shels at half time. 0-1 down, down to 10 men and playing pretty poorly. They stormed back in the second half though. Byrne was much more effective and Shels could have won the match if it wasn't for a few great saves by the bOhs keeper.
