Now this is intruiging. Ofcom in the UK have the same functions as Comreg here and also have the Broadcasting Commission brief bolted on. This is a good example of how a regulator with vision can push the technology and the market in tandem .

In so doing Ofcom are pushing the BB operators to jump from the current 512k and 1mbit offerings to 5-10mbit offerings, it takes at least 5mits to do this kind of service. Now there is an example of a regulator creating a market.

It wont happen here where watching full motion video could cost you €36 a Gigabyte, Marty and Marys recipe section alone could bankrupt you.
