    Can anyone reccommend some books on smallbore target rifle shooting, info on trigger control, breathing, stance etc etc, mostly on 3 position shooting and benchrest. I've browsed thorough Amazon but nothing really stood out.

    Thanks.

    Here's an online manual from Uncle Sams'Misguided Children;

    fundamentals are the same.

    My personal bible is Olympic Target Rifle Shooting by Horneber, Haket. It covers three-position quite well. Don't know about benchrest though.

    I've been told this is a very good book and well worth a read:
    Ways of the Rifle
    by Gaby Buhlmann, Heinz Reinkemeier and Maik Eckhardt - translated from German by Bill Murray. 208p large format soft cover with copious illustrations. Just released this year, covers all positions and features many of the world's top rifle shooters.
