Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would consider it a very black comedy.
    A truly excellant film.

Yes, tis a magnificant film. you can actually appreciate how much thought and effort went into it. The way it was shot with the nearly-subliminal shots of brad pitt, the scientifically-correct opening when the camera pans the brain. The quality of the acting and dialogue.

    Excellent

It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    HIT IT!

Excellent, highly origional, clever and very dark. NOt at all what I expected. I had planned to avoid it as a hype movie about violence but had to bring my wife to see Brad Pitt. But I must also admit that I have a thing for Helena B Carter (WOOF WOOF!).

The best kind of movie- one that defies or confuses typical categories.

    the books great as well

What's the name of the book (I'm fairly sure it's a different title), and who wrote it?

It was really odd watching the film and associating with the Ed Norton character, then the ending... yikes.

And God said to Adam: 'I am root, FOO.'

I loved it, amazing film, but I wouldn't put it in any particular genre.

    oh Dave, you crazy nerd.
The book is called Fight Club, and was written by a nice Oregonian named Chuck Palanhiuk

If you've seen this movie, reading the book is nigh on pointless.

What do you people thihnk of seeing the film,
would you class it as a funny and action or what ?
I thought some scene's were well done, like in the fight's were the fella's teeth are falling out smile.gif and when they go around causing vandlism, its bit of a mix between a comedy and action/triller I think, because some parts were quite funny, would anyone else have any other opnion's than me about what type of film it is?
if so posts why you would think it is below smile.gif

How wrong can you be? Quite apart from the different ending there's numerous other images and such to make the book worth reading.

Given Palahniuk's writing style, you gain very little extra from reading the book. The strong narrative of the film means that 95% of the book is directly quoted in the film.. the remaining 5% of the book is not worth the effort - there are a lot more books out there worthy of your time.
