    DURC Up and Running!

This is just to remind you all that we have started shooting at the range.

The range is open every weekday after 6pm. There is a booking sheet on our
notice board in front arch. To come down and try it out just put your name
down on the sheet. We are shooting Air Rifle on Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays. We are shooting .22 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

    See you there.

    Nithin - Club Captain.

Yes, it's very possible. Everyone gets run through the safety briefing and initial training the same way anyway - the introduction lecture was mostly just to show people what the club was like and what the sport looks like, so you missed nothing from a safety point of view. (On that note, DURC's been about for over 40 years, without a single accident).

Just sign up on the sheet in front arch for a detail (because we've very few firing points - two for .22 and three for air rifle and they can't be used at the same time - and a lot of members - it was nearly 400 last year - we have to parcel out range time in half-hour details, at least for the first term. After the first term, the pressure eases off and people can book more than one detail.), then come down to the range a few minutes before that detail and bring your student ID card. That's all you need. (It might be an idea, though, to wear a T-shirt - it's rather uncomfortable shooting with a thick jumper on under the shooting jacket).
