Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Actually Hamburger Hill was on last week.

I saw it before but it was along time ago. Seeing it again I was stunned by the aweful acting, ham lines and rediculas sterotypes that populated the course of the movie. Platoon was much better, but Full Metal Jacket rules.

Apocolypse Now, though a great movie, is not technically a war film, but the artiness that goes on. It seems though some fool is making a remake of Apocolypse Now, how can that be done?

I have also heard of another film called "The Odd Angry Shot", about the Kiwis in Vietnam, apparently very good though I have yet to see it.

A re-cut of Apocalypse Now is beeing released later this year. Theres an extra 30min approx being added to it by Coppola. Its original footage that was left out of the original. Still good excuse to see the film in the cinema smile.gif

He added something like 53 minutes of footage - its how he wanted it to be from the start (don't they all say that?), given it a more personnal perspective. Apparently it went down well at Cannes too wink.gif

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaught on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham! You just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."
    hello.
