Oh lord this has just made my WEEK!!! I cant believe it!!! I first saw this film when i was 9 and I loved it. Still brings a tear to my eye when i think about a certain transformers death!!! This has to be one of the, if not THE greatest animation movie's EVER!!! It's a classic and i gotta stop or i'll waffle on all day.

If only they'd release the episodes now i'd be flying high

I was never much into the animated series, it was a bit too childish ie. "Oh no, i've failed to destroy the autobots because they blew up the power source for my rather large gun. Even though this is the most powerful weapon in the universe and the power source only took half an episode to build I won't build another because I have a new foolproof plan which involves ice-cream." Ok, that wasn't a quote but the plot did get really stupid in places. The comic was much better imho. My how I cried when all my comics were taken away to the dump one fateful tuesday morning without my consent (it was only a month ago ). Ahh, the epic battle that ensued when Unicron was led to cybertron by the temporary wakening of primus (a.k.a. the big flaming planet) and the (more) insane version of megatron (galvatron) who was plucked from another dimension, in which the autobots had almost been completely wiped out, by Hook Line and Sinker (He was a planet ffs, are you gonna argue with his choice of henchmen names?). Of course, optimus prime and the creation matrix (which up until then had been a tool of evil thanks to thunderwing) saved the day destroying unicron, but not until the bastid had wiped out half the race . Now that was a story-line, took em months to build up to it aswell. Then they started that stupid "Generation 2" and "Beast Wars" crap. *goes into ultra nostalgia mode*
I remember when crisps costed 10p and Chris De Burgh was ridiculed every day and i had to walk 10 miles to school every morning in the snow....

Yeah the arrival to cybertron episodes would be super cool if they brought them back on dvd. I dont see why they dont, i mean they brought back X-MEN - THE PHEONIX SAGA on dvd (yes yes i know it's to coincide with the movie but that cartoon was cool anyways) so why not transformers? I'm going over a load of old blank tapes i have that i used when i was a kid so i'm gonna see whats on them, hopefully an episode or two if i'm lucky

Getting back to why this topic was started,
when is the dvd out in ireland?
Its great that its out in the UK on monday but that doesn't neccesarily mean its out here as well on monday.
I don't know to muc about dvd releases so can anyone clear this up???

It was called "I Grimlock" as apossed to Me grimlock
yes i'm sad but i remembered it ....
guess my DVD collection will be growing ...
P.S. the PC Frendly DVD viewer for PC doesn't seem to look at regions .. all you do is skip to the main menu and it works ...

If you want to know the release date for sure, check out http://www.thetransformers.net and join their mailing list. They are in touch with the destributors and will e-mail you as soon as a date is confirmed, and tell you the cheapest place to by the movie!
