The Adam and Joe show is the greatest show on tv

All films should be made using Teddy Bears

It's a tough call between Battlestar Galactica, McGyver, Simpsons, A-Team, 6-1 News, Spaced and Fr Ted.

Actually - there are far too many really quality programs to pick one.

the adam and joe show is deadly.

especially liked the skit of starwars/the royal family.

    1: Futurama
    2: Trigger Happy TV
    3: Simpsons

That'd be my favourite 3 shows at the minute, I've already downloaded and watched the 2nd and 3rd series of futurama tho, so I won't have any of them to look forward to for a while frown.gif Trigger Happy TV was excellent first series, some of the parts are wearing thin now but it's still great, and the soundtrack is the best of any program IMO. Simpsons is...simpsons, nuff said smile.gif

Space: Above And Beyond was one brilliant show.

And does nobody remember The Transformers??? Best cartoon show EVER. NOTHING you have today even touches it.

Millenium was ****ing class! Very dark and brooding, and they had some ****ing fantastic scripts on that show!

Older X-Files has to get some mention too...

Not to mention Tales From The Crypt... They had some of the best writers there was!
All these twisted and sick stories, and they really had some good plots.

also you cant beat the Simpsons for comedy genius really.

    1: Futurama
    2: Trigger Happy TV
    3: Simpsons

Id have 2 go with mills on that one.

Spaced/Adam & Joe/Trigger Happy TV/Family Guy/Futurama are all great.. hard to pick just one

As for the Simpsons, its great stuff but I've seen the same episodes so many times its not funny anymore.

Third Watch can be entertaining sometimes as well

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaught on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham! You just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man."
    hello.

Sigh , big thread missed , much catch up

Adam and Joe is good , but its becoming a slightly tired format now , i mean i remember A&J back in the year of 98 , same stuff *the teddy bear with the massive pubic hair from thier This Life knockoff , best moment ever * . actually anyone remember TV Offal ? , terribly offensive show , but bloody hilarious , used to be on an Hour later

Simpsons yeah good , but Futuramas a cheap knockoff at best . not necesserily a bad thing but when theyres still simpsons around it just doesnt cut it

Heh all of Kharns are class , even Mguyver/A-team , its amazing how funny they are outside of the paternal shield of the 80s

For DaBounca , you should see theyre "Jedi Springer Bit" , i think its on a streaming video on a fan site ,ill dig up the link

Oh yeah I love Monty Python , brilliant and especially for its time , nothing since has been so wierd. And the Young ones is class too

*looks through Thread* Sweeney , heh ,Kitschie Spaced obviously Im not even going to start on that one biggrin.gif Space above and beyond , "Sort" of Like starship troopers ? If its what i think it was good enough It got axed after a series mind , but thats life ,

but Millenium OMG , that was a show! , as a person who never liked the X-files i always wondered why i loved Millenium so much , The first series was excellent but did lend much to the actual plot , after that it picked up considerably into a dedicated Quasi Religous political thriller show with the odd Supernatural murder and so on . the last series *of half a series to be precise* was an insult to its lineage , to see Peter Watts go nearly made me Cry frown.gif , but a really good show throughout even in the last series a credit to lance hendrikson *Frank Black* Blakes 7 was always cool , but a little before my time . and thats about it , but as kahrn said , theyre are too many to choose from

    Shrewgar!

What ever happened to Space Above & Beyond
The last episode i rememeber watching was one in which most of the cast were getting massecred in there ships and the chinese lad was cast adrift in space on a transport module i think...

Anyways i dont think anyone has mentioned Star trek: TNG. Now that was a class program and i loved those 1st and 2nd season uniforms with the weird collars

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,783 ✭✭✭Puck

Space Above and Beyond was excellent but not the best. It should never have been axed though!

Spaced is one of my favorite shows.
I love The Simpsons but I think the first series isn't as funny as the rest. Although some of the stuff their doing now has too many celebrity guests to suck up to and its too "nice".

    Seinfeld

    Curb Your Enthusiasm

    League of Gentlemen (first series)

Disredgarding the last 4 or 5 seasons, The Simpsons is the best television show of all time. I think people forget how good it is because of over exposure.

Or, maybe people genuinely prefer Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc. etc. etc. and prefer acting to cartoons. That's not meant to be any slur, The Simpsons has had some great moments alright and can be hilarious...

I didn't day everyone forgets the brilliance of The Simpsons, I just said some people do. Of course others genuinely prefer the shows you mentioned.
