Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah, considering the squad for the match was announced yesterday and he wasn't even it!

yep as far as I understand the 3 match ban comes in tomorrow . So he misses Saturday's trip to Portsmouth, which is followed by the Old Trafford encounter with neighbours City on November 7.

As I said earlier the ban has immediate effect he misses tonights Carling Cup match with Crewe and then Portsmouth and Man City in the League

He'll be available for selection for the Newcastle game.

I did. And his leg looks pretty upright to me (not to mention the more upright of his two). Who said that Ruud wasnt even looking at Cole, and that there was no intent, despite Ruuds admission of the charge? Oh yeah ;););)

So please, stop with your defense of him. And while your at it, get a link to this "Bergkamp elbow" up. You are the only person here who is championing it. Despite, I would say 90% of people here having watching the game and having no recollection of it, because I dont believe a word that comes out of your mouth when it comes to Arsenal or Man United.
He didn't admit to intentionally hurting Cole. And he wasn't looking at Cole, he has his eyes closed in that picture. :p

Watch the last five minutes of the match. You can clearly see Bergkamp strike Smith. I saw it at the time it happened. Andy Gray commented on it, while Martin Tyler was too busy sticking his head up Arsenal's arses to comment on it.

    From MANUTD.COM

    Ruud Accepts FA Charge

    Van Nistelrooy Accepts Three-Match Ban

Ruud van Nistelrooy has decided to accept the FA's charge of misconduct relating to the incident with Ashley Cole.

Ruud has accepted the automatic penalty of a three match suspension and Manchester United fully supports Ruud's decision.

Van Nistelrooy said: "Throughout my ten year career I believe my disciplinary record is very good, not only for Manchester United but at all my previous clubs.

"I accept the charge brought by the FA and I take full responsibility of this incident.

"However, there was no deliberate intent to harm Ashley Cole and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to him."

The acceptance of the charge of "serious foul play" was lodged with the FA in time for Tuesday night's match against Crewe to be included in the three match ban.

Van Nistelrooy will now miss the forthcoming Premiership matches against Portsmouth (30 Oct) and Man City (7 Nov).

Its a bit different from what he was saying in the papers today !
Obviously The Boss had words with him !

What do you mean by that totally unecessary and unrelated to the thread comment ?

I was talking about the Bergkamp incident. Jivin Turkey said that 90% of the board missed the incident itself. I said that Andy Gray commented on it, Martin Tyler didn't because he is totally biased towards Arsenal.

Do you think the Bergkamp elbow deserves a thread of its own?

Well, at least Van Nistelrooy had the decency to own up and admit that he was in the wrong.

    Ok... Where to begin...

The whole game he was moaning about the ref, United's tackles, the penalty, on and on like a big girl with PMT.

"Riley has given United EIGHT penalties in the last eight games he's refereed here."

"Andy, do you know how many penalties Riley has given United in the last eight games he's refereed?"

"Ashley Cole has only EVER had three red cards and Riley gave him TWO of those!"

"Why was that worse than Gary Nevile's challenge? HOW did Gary Nevile not get booked?"

"That wasn't a penalty was it? Andy now that you've seen the replay 16 times in slow motion, do you STILL think that's a penalty?"

He conveniently didn't see Cole upending Ronaldo in the box, Bergkamp punching Smith, Lehmann trying to start a fight with Rooney after he scored, Edu's half a dozen late tackles, Vieira constantly trying to referee the match, Toure's bronze medal winning dive, etc.

And he was clearly reading from the same script as Wenger at the press conf afterwards. Almost word for word. How strange. Not.

I know it's only Arsenal and he's just a Sky baboon but I pay his wages. Paddy Crerand broadcasts for club TV (MUTV) and is entitled to be completely biased. Tyler isn't.

Apart from the fact most of that has nothing to do with the topic, your slurring comments are surely against the forum rules.

Are they? Well then I apologise... And I shall edit them.

I'm still annoyed that all of this is over shadowing a good, well deserved win by United.

And all we still have to go by on the Bergkamp incident is your "utterlly impartial" word.

Surely if it was so blatant, his "punching" Im talking about, one other news agency would have picked it up, as opposed to the Arsenal run Sky tv (try not let your paranoia get the better of you). I mean the game was probably shown in almost every country in the world. Surely you can find a link somewhere?

You are the only person who seems to have seen it clearly (a little convenient perhaps?), a couple of people have noted it but they are hardly making a deal about it.
