No. AvP is at least bad in a completely ridiculous and laughable way, and that gives it some entertainment value.

i think ridley and james are kind of pissed off at signourney weaver. some bad blood seems to have come out of this franchise... and it quite possibly involves acidic qualities...

I can't believe eveyone hates Resurrection so much.... people even have Predator 2 ahead of it!!! Predator 2 is a joke, how could Danny Glover beat a fúcking Predator when it took Arnie everything he had to do it.
If Anderson had been given the leeway by the studios(ie, 18 cert), I'd say he could have done a decent job of AvP. Look at Event Horizon, excellent film, he didn't pull any punches there, the gore was up to the Alien/Predator standard.

I like Predator 2... probably due to 80s nostalgia. It was full of plotholes and Danny Glover is... well... crap, but I enjoyed it. It was fun. In a really cheesy 80s way.

Granted Event Horizon was a good film but look at some of the other stuff he has done.
Resident Evil was a load of crap, and Mortal Kombat while entertaining in a cheesy way was really pretty crap too.
Even with an 18's cert, I bet AvP would have still been crap.
What's the story with him doing computer games films anyway?

Fox kicked Anderson off AVP and edited it themselves. He was well pissed with that and said they'd ruined it and taken all the good bits out.
I'd say that counts him out of another Fox film any time soon, hopefully...
Never heard that rumour before but I'd say it's bullsh*t no matter what.

Yeah, there was several writers working on scripts but it looks like he won't be involved now.

Found this though. In an interview, when asked about the possiblity of AVP2 (which apparantly will happen, but not with his involvement):

Anderson told Empire Online that he's said goodbye to films that feature both Aliens and Predators. "I'm not attached to any sequel. I never really made the movie with the intention of making a sequel. I wanted to do it as a stand-alone film that could hopefully succeed in its own terms, but also re-energise both franchises. So that Fox could go: 'Well, that made a lot of money! If you want to see Predators and Aliens again let's make a Predator 3, let's make an Alien 5.'"
