Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    yeah the pictue quality is crap, and i doubt those sunglassses are part of the costume. and if you ask me, Wilder looks more sinister than Depp!!

    I doubt the glasses are real - more likely to put off thieving little hobbit photographers.
    The hat's good though and I always felt Depp would be the perfect choioce for a remake... and lo and behold they got him. I think he'll have just the right quality of bonkers about him, albeit slightly darker than Wilder.

    While it does look good, the only reservation I would have is that Depp doesn't strike me as old enough to play the part... As far as I recall, in the story Wonka had become somewhat of a recluse for years, didn't he? But that said, personality-wise I have to agree with the sentiments above about the tone that he will bring to the film. He and Burton seem to play wonderfully off of each other, as Edward Scissorhands and Ed Wood have both shown...

    Am i the only one that thinks Johnny Depp looks like Michael Jackson in that poster?! The pale face, the sinister facial expression...
