Going on What Garth V said, why not let the rest of the forums readers know about your first skewering experiences.

Mine was getting my eyebrow done. It all started about a year prior when i made a drunken bet with my friend that if she got her nipple pierced that i'd get mine done too.
Low and behold she decided to get it done, and informed me with much glee.

Now a very good friend of mine was working for Miss Fantasia and is a very good piercer, so not only did we get it on the cheap but also he explained everything he was doing before hand.
On the day it turned out i was gonna get done first. So on the journey up i debated the merits of having my nipple pierced or should i go for something else since it was my first piercing and i didn't want something i may not like.
So i eventually decided that i'd go for the standard left eyebrow job. I'm still glad i did cause i love it. She decided it was funny that i chickened out. The joy was mine when she was informed 2 seconds before the needle was to go through that it was gonna hurt... Hehehehe. Guess who was laughing then :D

End of the day I think we were both happy. especially since she later called into me in work to inform me of how sensitive it was on the walk home.

I'm hoping that my next piercing shall be done soon enough. I've changed my mind from getting a PA to getting an Apadravya.

    Whats your story?

I went with my cousin to have her ears pierced. It was back in the day with a gun in a jewellers. The gun made quite a bang sound and she jumped a foot into the air. Her ear lobe ripped in half as the gun came down. There was quite a lot of blood and crying.

She didn't get the other one done. And she's never had anything pierced since.

I was queuing one day in that kip in the George's St. arcade too, and the girl in front of me was having her eyebrow pierced. Anyway, that middle aged woman who does them there made a royal balls of it and the girl was left with a torn eyebrow and blood running down her face. She fainted too. At this point, I was almost passing out myself so I left and went somewhere else.

My first piercings were of course my ears too, but my first significant piercing with a needle was my eyebrow. It was so simple and painless that I'm slightly addicted by now.

Four or five piercings later, I'm having another one done next week and busy designing a tattoo.

    Whoop!

First significant piercing here were both my nipples in one go.Christ Ill never forget the pain of the first one and the only reason the second one was done was because it was a mate of mine who runs his own shop now who was doing it and he talked me into it.
I was "informed" that once one was done then Id know what to expect with the second one and it would be easier. That and the fact that he told me Id look ghey with only one done(had to go through with it after that comment to a gullible 17 year old)
And like FOOK was it any easier-I thought it was worse.

Then Ive been through the usual--Different ear piercings etc,
Latest was my nape which was surprisingly painless.Only part that was annoying was trying to sleep with it done.Dont think I slept for about 10 days after it was done.

The future---Really want my tongue done and may actually get it done tomorrow.
Was toying with the idea of a apradayva but thats gone out the window now with healing time of 8-12 weeks.
    Great thread BTW.

I got my eyebrow peirced (my first and only peircing so far) in a caravan during a concert in Slane 2 summers ago. Needless to say I have had a bit of whiskey on the way up, followed by about 4 or 5 pints of watered down lager, so that kinda killed the pain..... and more than likely gave me the courage to get it done.

I had it in only about 3 months before it started to grow out at which point I had to remove it! I wouldn't recommend getting a peircing at a concert. if ya must get it done do so in a proper parlour! Because, I know for a fact that my peircing wasn't done correctly!

Wierd, my nape absolutely killed, but they used a clamp, which i think was more painful than the actual piercing.

had a surface piercing in my chest which fnucked up and im left with a lovely scar now, but it didnt hurt really at all getting it done.

various lip piercings, eyebrow and tongue were my least painful. could barely feel him doing my tongue.

eating/talking hurts a bit afterwards with the tongue (i drank, and ate food i wasnt supposed to, so mine took a lot longer than normal to heal), but its my favourite piercing now. took me four years to go ahead with it, i have NO idea why i kept putting it off.

Hellrazer, you should just go for it, do it on the weekend when you can plan your food a bit better than if you were in work or college. and dont drink!

next piercing i want to get done is either going to be a medusa (i think), which is a surface piercing at the front of neck, in that little cleft girls have, or my clit. descisions will have to made upon my next paycheck.

also i used to be a huge advocate of bodyshock, but since he fnucked up my last surface piercing, i wont be going back. snakebite is my new place to go, the atmosphere is much friendlier, you dont have to worry about what kind of 'mood' they're going to be in, and they're cheaper. so there you go.

Well if you dont count having my ears done AGAINST MY WILL at the age of 3 months......
Got smashed on cider at a hair show when I was 15 (quite a few moons ago..)and had ears done again, gawd sooo cool to have the two holes in the ear! Think I wore two lots of earrings for a couple of years, and the stopped - holes still there though but I think I look daft with two lots.

FAst forward 23 years and had a 38year crisis so I got a tattoo( I know, not relevant!) Then this year, as a pre 40th prezzie, I had one nipple pierced, yes it hurt, then a fortnight later had the other one done.My boobs have never looked or felt so good. My husby thinks I have gone doolally but is appreciative!

Best piercing is the clitoral hood, but I have mentioned that a few times already. Am mulling over a tongue piercing, but I am a scaredy cat!

My first and only piercing was my nipple back in January of this year. The piercer was sound, professional and quick. Personally I didn't find the pain all that bad. It was like a few nips really. Not too bad at all.

So I left the piercers and went down the stairs to go outside the shopping center. As I was walking I slowly began to feel a little woozy. It was so bad, infact, that I decided to sit on the steps for a little bit.

After a few minutes getting my breath back, off I went off again to my car. It was not to be however as I again started feeling like crap again. So I sat down for another few minutes again.

After I was completely sure I was feeling better I started walking again( at this stage I'd only walked about 50 yards from the front steps of the shopping center) and next thing I know is that I'm speeding up. Everything went blurry and I stumbled into someone and whacked my chin off the pavement. Very painful. Cut my chin-I still have a scar from it.

From that I'm afraid to go back and get another piercing done. I must have a delayed reaction to needles or something-I know I hate getting injections done and stuff. It's a shame as I'd love to get a few others done before I get much older

Thats why I keep putting it off.Im usually in Fibbers on Saturdays and you really have to be pi$$ed going in there.

Food I could probably manage without but I really couldnt be without my JD at the weekends.
When I change my ways and become a pioneer Ill get it done.Im actually off to NY next Thursday and was thinking of getting it done over there.Sure Ill see what happens.

ive heard of other people and friends who didnt have a problem when they went drinking the night of getting their tongue done.

i drank four days after getting it done, it didnt swell up any bigger, but it took about a week longer than usual to go down. it didnt alter in any other way, so it didnt add to the discomfort or anything.

dont let not being able to drink prevent you, sure its only a couple of weeks (seemed like pure hell, but imagine not being able to drink, or smoke, for that long) but afterwards, the joy you get from the piercing compensates for the initial hell.

got my first two proper piercings in may, my lip and my nape, both of which i wub very much. then when i was in amsterdam, i decided to get my nipple done to remember the week (well to remind myself that i'd been there, it was a very hazey week)
so now im looking to get more, but im a bit unsure what to go for. was thinking maybe my bellybutton, possibly my clit hood, but thats going to require a little more thought (and months of trying to work up the courage :D)
i'll probably get another one or two bars added to my neck, i like the idea of a ladder going upwards and getting narrower as it goes.
might get my tongue done too, but i dont really want any more on my face. trying to think of other good places to put some metal.
    any suggestions?

i got my first one done in august , my nape. i wasnt contempt with getting a regular first piercing eg lobe. took me quite a while to work up the courage to get it done but in the end im glad i did.

i want to get either my wrists done , vertical lowbrets or my tongue but i dont like the idea of the metal cracking my teeth

Got my first piercing (an ear piercing) over a week ago - didn't hurt a bit & got a nipple done yesterday & that didn't hurt a bit neither - am gonna get the other one done in a week or two.

Was kinda disappointed cos everytime I've gotten a tattoo done (have 4 now) they've kinda hurt, but not lots..... that's my experience for what it's worth - plus everyone I know told me nipples hurt like **** to get pierced. I;ve had NO discomfort, no pain, no nada.... wierd??!!!???

When I got my helixes pierced in June it was far more painful than I was expecting. It was a bit of a shock to the system and a little while after I got home I felt a bit light-headed and had to sit down. Nothing more dramatic than that but if I could start again I'd probably have had the lobes done first to work up to it.

Wait now, trying to think of them.

First one was back, about 4 or 5 years ago. I got two done that day - my left and right fold. Cant remember how painful it was though, but they eventually got infected to **** - my folds were like 10mm thick at one stage. Folds take a lot of cleaning. I was planning on getting a scaffold from my fold up to the cartilage at the top of my ear - we measured 18mm long at 1.2mm thickness - these bars are hard to find. Eventually took the piercings out, so that was the end of that chapter.

Next one was my eyebrow, horizontal, on my left eyebrow. Again, got infected to ****, and after poking another hole in my eyebrow while getting a new bar, I took it out, or maybe it fell out. No visible scar left, cos it was covered by my eyebrow.

Next one was my plug. Started off with a 2mm needle, think we chucked a 3mm ring in it straight after getting it peirced. Eventually got it up to 13mm (quite large for your average 14 or 15 year old), using a few rings, barrels, and home-made plugs using that play-doh crap that you put in the oven. My cousins dog ate my plug while on holidays in England, so with a week or so left in the holiday, I decided i'd let it heal. Dirty mofo of a scar there at the moment, but I dont take notice of it now, and not many people notice it.

I was on the straight and narrow for about 2 years up until this summer or so.

Got my eyebrow done horizontally again, and again about 2 months ago (after I lost the bar) and again 3 weeks ago (after I lost the bar, again). I've got a leather left eyebrow now, but there shouldnt be any visible scars i'm sure.

Two weeks ago, got my two folds done again. Not painful, I could only hear the tissue inside my folds ripping as she forced the needles through. They are still a abstard to keep - have to clean them a lot. It's also a abstard to sleep with, wear headphones, or wear a hat; that's what I forgot about from the last time I got them done.

Dont think i'll get a scaffold done on these ones, though.

Future peircings? none for the time being. I'd love to get a plug done again - they're **** cool, but not all that great in the long run.

My first piercing was my lip (Labret) dead center when i was 17. I was proud of myself considering it was my first. it didn't hurt that much but i swelled up something else. I had that for just over a year then because of work i had to take it out. Feck them!!
Then the last year, now 19, i got my eyebrow done. A horizontal one. I loved it but it feel out like 2 weeks oafter getting it. I was soo mad. I spent an hour trying to force it back it but could not get it through. That was it then for a while until today. Mahahaha.
I got the horizontal on done again and my tongue. I had threatened to get my tongue done for years but never had the nerve, till now. My plan was to get the eyebrow done first, because i had that one done before i knew what to expect so i could try focus on that pain while the tongue was going in. As it turned out the guy doing it 'John' had to steralise the eybrow stuff so that one had to be done second. It turned out that the eyebrow was more painful then the tongue. And it bled more too.
But now 2 hours on the eyebrow feels normal again but my tongue feels like i bit it really hard. Not sore but not comfortable.

Hey sorry to go off topic - i think my lip has split on the inside a little, is this normal? how long will it take to fully heal? *edit* when will i be able to take it out without it closing up?

    what are folds?

Well, the people in the local piercing shop call it the fold, but the correct term, by the looks of things, is the 'rook'.

About two weeks ago, I got my right side bottom lip pierced. I dunno, just something I felt up to doing after I got paid. Went in the shop, sat down and me being the tool, thought they would burn the hole in my lip  .. but he took like these pliers and said relax. And then next thing I know it was done :D Only felt like a pinch.
I want to get the eyebrow done..right side, and get some more in my ears. :D Possibly the chin as well :)

Looking back now i honestly cannot see what i was so afriad of,even just after i got it done i was all like "that didnt hurt as much as i expected" and thanks to that first one im now turning into more metal than man :)
