Old Virus query

about a year a go there was a virus out that would not allow you boot up your PC it would boot so far and then crash what was the name of that Virus and how do you fix it. Declan

that wasnt sasser was it?

download stinger http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger
and boot into safemode. run stinger in there.

But he has just advised me that he cant boot the PC up in Safe mode
