THE ZUTONS Dates This Week Rescheduled
    - New Dates Confirmed For December.

Mercury Award-Nominated Scousers, THE ZUTONS have unfortunately been forced to postpone the remaining dates on their sold-out UK & Ireland tour – including their three shows scheduled for Derry, Belfast, and Dublin later this week – due to illness.

Drummer Sean Payne was struck down by a severe viral infection at the weekend. Although sick, he played through their show in Sheffield.
He was unable to get out of bed the following day and a doctor advised him not to perform on the remaining dates.

The band are extremely upset about having to reschedule the dates. Lead singer Dave McCabe had this to say, "We're really gutted and distraught about it. The tour has been going so well and we've really been enjoying every night. There's nothing we can do about it. There wasn't enough time to get a stand-in for Sean."

Happily for the band’s ever-growing fanbase (including all those that saw them at OXEGEN back in July), the band have been able to reschedule all this week’s postponed dates.

    - Their original and rescheduled Irish dates are as follows:
Postponed Date: This Thursday, Oct 28th – DERRY, Nerve Centre (Sold-Out)
    * – NEW DATE: DECEMBER 12TH (SAME VENUE)

Postponed Date: This Friday, Oct 29th – BELFAST, The Limelight (Sold-Out)
    * - NOW MOVED UP TO SPRING & AIRBRAKE VENUE ON DECEMBER 13TH

Postponed Date: This Saturday, Oct 30th – DUBLIN, Temple Bar Music Centre (Sold-Out)
    * - NOW MOVED UP TO THE AMBASSADOR ON DECEMBER 11TH.

MCD and The Zutons wish to apologise for the short notice and for any inconvenience. All original tickets are valid for the rescheduled dates.
Due to demand, the Dublin show has been moved up to the increased capacity of The Ambassador, and Belfast has moved up to the Spring & Airbrake venue.

Remaining tickets for these dates go on sale tomorrow (Thursday) from Noon from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide. Full refunds are available from point of purchase if the new dates do not suit ticketholders.

    - The Zutons’ Rescheduled Dates In Full Are:
Saturday, December 11th - Dublin – The Ambassador
Sunday, December 12th - Derry – The Nerve Centre
Monday, December 13th - Belfast - The Spring & Airbrake
Wednesday, December 15th - London - Shepherds Bush Empire
Friday, December 17th - Liverpool - Royal Court
Saturday, December 18th - Liverpool - Royal Court
Sunday, December 19th - London - Earls Court (supporting Muse)
Monday, December 20th - London - Earls Court (supporting Muse)
    Tuesday, December 21st - Cambridge – Junction

The Zutons’ new single, ‘Don’t Ever Think’ went straight into the UK charts at No. 15 at the weekend.

It’s the follow-up single to ‘Remember Me’, taken from their Mercury Award-Nominated album, ‘Who Killed The Zutons’. The album also includes the previous hit singles, ‘You Will, You Won’t’ and ‘Pressure Point’. It also earned them a Q Award nomination for ‘Best New Act’ where they narrowly missed out to Razorlight.

Earlier this month, The Zutons Shepherd’s Bush Empire show saw Har Mar Superstar, Noel Gallagher, members of The Streets, Elbow, The Music, and Gorillaz turn up to see the Scouse five-piece play the London venue.

    The Zutons are:
    Abi Harding - Saxophone
    David McCabe - Lead Vocalist
    Boyan Chowdhury - Lead Guitar
    Sean Payne - Drums
    Russell Pritchard - Bass
