well they had to stick in O'Connor although unlikely they had to remove his England threat. Glad to see him there though, he's very well thought of yonder.

Ok it has been confirmed Costello,Miller,Duffy,Wilson and Kelly are the other 5 to be named for the Novemebr inters.
Must say gutted for Wallace - had a huge game on Sun,tackled twice as much as anyone. But Miller still an outstanding player,Wilson fine,Kelly fine,Duffy fine and Costello not fine.
The guy is 34 why are they picking him-great player but plan for the future Eddie!!!!

TBH you cna hardly say that this squad is not future oriented. As for the inclusion of Costello OK he is unlikely to be there for the next World Cup bu the may well have plenty to contribute to the Autumn intenationals and to the Six Nations. His presence in the squad may well help some of the younger players along as well.

Do feel Wallace deserved a look in though

Reallly in two minds.Costello has put in all season and deserves to be there by right but cant help feel as Quinlan or Wallce would have been the better choice.Even though the pair havent played enough in the last few months but Wallace blitzed most of the players on Sun and you could call him rusty?
    Still time will tell !!!!!

Well Dave i agree with Every point 100%

Easterby is **** why not O'Meara, not world class but still an all round excellent scrum half.
Duffy is way to young and no experience but i hope this gives him a boost.
Quinlan & Wallace,Quinlan the hero in WC Vs Arg and Wallace just accident prone but he is one,if not the best flankers in Ireland.
Dempsey ya useless C*NT,its like he telephones up the oppostion and says "ya il catch it and kick it striaght back to ya,no worries"
Play Hickie or Horgan or Murphy full back. They have loads of wingers and centres that can change around.Dempsey is so-i dunno boring.
Wouldnt know how to counter attack if you drew him a map.

I think Maggs will get the nod ahead of the Swerve for the last place in the Backs. Hickie and Horgan on the wings and Geordan at full back.

Big Mal to pip a less than 100% fit Donnacha, and O'Connor and Easterby on the flanks. The rest picks itself. Watch out Boks!

I dont F*ckin belive it he picked that gowl Dempsey  . Is he off his bin,you need a smart full back(Murphy) against Montie and his huge boot not that PLANK!!! (Uh same thing over and over - like a book)

Wait and watch bet ya Percy will run him stupid and loads of Garyowens to boot(PUN)

To some extent would that (Montgomery's boot) be an argument for Dempsey? Sure he doesn't have the attack that Murphy has but the ball WILL be caught and then he has Hickie and Murphy beside him to pick from.

Might have been more exciting the other way though alright

Exactly - Remember old Dominic Crotty. Great at the basics and defense but ran out of ideas under pressure and on the counter. Convinced Murphy would be the man to really trouble the Boks.We have one of the best backlines in the world but with Dempsey ,think they'll just be happy to kick(BORING)
