Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all.

    Quick question for ye..

Will the Set-Top Boxes i can buy up the North in Argos work well down here in the Republic? And if so, what kinda stations would they recieve? I've a SkyDigital Set-Top Box as it is and i'm just wondering is there any benefit to buying one of these ones from Argos?

See examples of the boxes i mean here:

    Any help is much appreciated!

Problem is they are for digital terrrestrial TV and DAB Radio. Currently about 30 digital Freeview TV channels, if you live in UK or most of Northern Ireland.

The Republic has not been really set up yet for Freeview. Which is great, buy the box and sit back and enjoy, in areas where the Digital terrestrial signals can be received.

I have heard about people using set top box's in Inishowen and receiving quite a few channels, but remember it is NOT a satellite signal.

There is a website with a current reception map on the web. Suggest you type in Freeview to Google for full info. No point in buying one if it will not receive in your area {Sligo}.

    Good luck.

    P.
