Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering if anybody can name a few titles that have really good picture quality?

The films are gonna be shown on a 50" plasma screen, which shows up imperfections big time, so the higher the picture quality the better!

After looking at a few reviews online, a few that got good pic quality ratings were :

    Jurassic Park
    The Peacemaker
Dinosaurs ... animated ones are nearly always good

Anyone got any other suggestions? If the movies have good soundtracks too it would be a bonus, cos theyre gonna have a pretty big surround sound system playing them.

    Cheers,

    Bucon.

50' plasma screen? Make sure you get NTSC/R1 discs then and play them back through the Progressive Scan output of your DVD player.

There's not much to choose between them these days, as new discs are almost always excellent, but Toy Story 1/2 will really show it off. The restored 'Touch of Evil' is excellent too.

If you want to buy R2/UK+Ireland discs, there's no need to get too worked up about quality - none of them will look particularly good on a plasma screen, unfortunately. frown.gif
