    22-20’s Irish Dates Rescheduled
    News last updated: 30-10-2004

Acclaimed UK blues rockers, 22-20’s were forced to postpone their Dublin show at The Hub last night (Friday) due to illness.

Lead singer Martin Trimble fell ill yesterday evening and was subsequently advised by a doctor that he was too unwell to perform.

Tonight’s (Saturday’s) show at The Limelight has also been postponed.

They were the final dates of the Lincoln three-piece’s 21 date UK & Ireland Tour.

MCD and the 22-20’s wish to sincerely apologise for the late notice and for any inconvenience.

The 22-20’s rescheduled Dublin date will now take place in Whelans on January 16th ’05.

Their original and rescheduled Irish dates are as follows:
Postponed Date: Friday, October 29th – The Hub, Dublin
    * – NOW MOVED UP TO WHELANS, DUBLIN ON JANUARY 16TH ’05.

Postponed Date: Saturday, Oct 30th – The Limelight, Belfast.
    * - NOW AT THE LIMELIGHT, BELFAST ON JANUARY 17TH ’05 (same venue).

All tickets are valid for the new dates.

Full refunds are available from point of purchase if these new dates do not ticketholders.

"‘The 22-20s are unquestionably the most exciting rock’n’roll rumble since the Gallaghers’. Live, their incendiary performances transmit that same feeling of brooding menace and repressed violence you can find walking through any provincial town centre in England after midnight … The 22-20's are a gut-churning blues explosion. Hearing them is like hearing The White Stripes as played by The Jimi Hendrix Experience if they’d grown up in a workhouse owned by Mark E Smith. Gritty, uncompromising, ecstatic and world-weary all at the same time. In a world of T-shirt bands floundering amidst the rock clichés, The 22-20's are the real deal … One of the best British rock albums of the year so far.” – NME.
