how the hell do you boot from cd ?

    my cd drive ****ed so pc world installed in a new one, im trying to use my recovery cd to boot, it doesnt. I have 3 boot choices

    HARDRIVE

    OPTICAL DRIVE

    REMOVABLE DEVICES.


    i tryed optical ofcourse, and removable at end , none work.
    i tried F7 whilst windows loaded and still nothing

    and yes the cd is bootable
    and yes my cd drive works.

    hum bug.

    Have you tried to enter the Bios and set the booting priority there?

    Looks like you have a strange problem. If your pc has a floppy drive you could make or download a bootable startup disk and take it from there.

    no floppy drive on laptop.
    it is a strange problem indeed, best way out now would be to install xp pro over it.
