does anyone know whats up?
maybe this place is better with no mods

I agree it is immature, that's the beauty of it. A little male bonding and mild titilation. Its about the shared appreciation of a common interest. Harmless really. Don't think its does boards any disservice, or lowers its tone particularily.

I can see where you are all coming from....it's just like that old joke of 99% of the internet is porn (admitedly i barely classify the slydice stuff as porn)....i just feel like keeping Boards seperate from this sorta "schoolboy sniggering at playboy" type stuff......Anyway, i can't give a rationale explaination about how i feel about it, so i'll just take OCG's advice (or radical solution ) and just avoid the mild titilation thread...lest i feel the need to go find my prefered sites.....

I believe that theres an online boards.ie encyclopedia thingy coming in the not to distant future, would be interested inthe history of those cards myself, only one i'm familiar with is the Glenstall one and the Bubbles Identity Crisis one.

The Glenstall one came about because of a schoolboy from a certain boarding school used his school email address to register on boards and then proceded to post offensive messages on boardes.

and the rest as they say is history

If you don't like a post you can use the hotline - red triangle thingy beside everyone posts to report is to the Mods with responsiblity and admins, further all the mods can discuss it amongst themselves if they believe it necessary - the more popular forums have more mods on them more of the time - because mods are people too.

Anyone can make a complaint on boards. either by pressing the exclamaition icon on a post that offends you, This is done in confidence.

If there is a persistent little fecker spamming a board or doing something their not allowed to they use the "bat fone" to get that individual dealt with. Things like advertising in posts, posting pornography and legally innapropriate material such as libelous statements. come under this category.

The admins are only usually contacted if a muppet, acts the muppet in more than one forum.

this is where the gathering cards were born, please bear in mind that the thread is three years old and the images have since been moved elswhere and will not show up on the thread. The "Jeffy the Kitten" one was consieved on page five of the thread.

I believe (and i could be wrong) when words are not enough a picture is posted up, like yer man from chips with the words "Your Ghey" or something like that.
