I think the best thing to do is make your own!
You can download a trial of paintshop pro from jasc.com which, if I'm not mistaken (and let's face it - I'm not), includes animation-shop, which rocks.
It's really cool when you can make your own, because you don't have to rely on other peoples crappy offerings.
I'd post some gif site URLs, but since I don't know any good ones offhand, it'd only be something you could find quite easily yourself on Google, so I'll spare you

i jus googled gor "free gifs" an got several sites up, none are particularly brilliant but there are several sites there, hope that helps

But i do agree with the other posters. Paint Shop Pro & Animation Shop are probably the best way to make your own graphics & animation. There are great tutorials around that help you step by step in creation great graphics. One that i use in particular is http://www.putertutor.net/ its a powerful website with tons and tons of tutorials - outlinked also, but also take a look at certain links etc there. Other than that i also join various groups in yahoo and msn, they have tons of graphics that you can take and also create your own with tutorials etc.
