nagging problem running processes in win xp

i am using xp and have installed the service pack 2 and ran numerous spywares adwares virus scanners and everything else i could think of however there seem to be a few processes that continue to run and are eating up my mem usage and cpu usage (visible by pressing ctrl+alt+del and looking at the processes tab) one in…

one in particular is SVCDHOST.EXE which several versions seem to be running anyone suggest anything that might be causeing this and how i can resolve it
