They are proposing to install a 60cm Astra dish. Thats a SKY minidish with 1 LNB in effect . Then they will install a USB modem and charge €539 for all this.

I make it the material costs max €200 including VAT so they will charge €340 just to install it. Feck off :) .

Forgot to mention it turns your PC into a Sat TV Receiver and HD Recorder as well as receiving BB from Astra 2 at 28E , a fortuitous side effect non ? :)

So its €539 Install really is it not .

This should more than cover their advertising spend on todayfm

You put up a dish and supply your own connection. Then sign up for the service on the service providers website.
but do they mind u using your own equipment?

Nope. If you decide to go for this option and need any help, there are plenty of folks on boards who have been through the process and can assist.

OK you can do this part by DIY, but you would still have to connect via an ISP right?

Follow on from Tribbles post, would you give money to a company who produces the worst web business site on the internet. That goes for sites that just say "under construction"!!

Yes. Silvermead or Netsystem or CPsat are all on the Astra sat IIRC
