Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    1) Is the PCI card installed and working in your PC?
    2) Is the Laptop Wireless card installed and working?
    3) Can the two machines ping each other?
    4) Do you have shares set up on either the laptop or the PC?
    5) What OS is on the machines? (I assume Windows, but it would be nice to be told)
    6) How far in the process have you got?
    7) What part are you having difficulty with?
    8) What have you tried?
    9) What is not working?
    10) In what way is it not working?

    Some more information please.

This excellent essay by Eric S. Raymond on "How To Ask Questions The Smart Way" is well worth a read.

    Regards,

    Liam

This question was cross-posted in Comp.Computers and, having read it, it appears that the poster has got most of the way there. However, this doesn't take away from the fact that this is a most excellent example of how not to ask a question.

Running windows xp? Just run the home network setup wizard.. it's step by step and almost idiot proof.
