    Sol Axis-Demo(04')
    Pig Destroyer-Terrifyer

    Behemoth-Demigod
    Wreck Of The Hesperus-Demo(04')
    Nasum-Shift
    Arkhon Infaustus-Perdition Insanibilis

And the year ain't over yet so probably a few more to add to the list hopefully.

You know, I really can't think of anything released in 2004 that really made me go wow. Now that's not to say that there hasn't actually been anything particularly excellent released this year, just that it's been a rather slow year for me CD wise.

I am hopefull though, and there are a few albums that I'm expecting to be among the best of the year.

So far, Enslaved's new album "Isa" is on it's way, and from what I hear, it surpasses last year's Below The Lights, an album I'd consider one of the best of the new Millennium. Behemoth's "Demigod" is on the way also, and if the song "Conquer All" is anything to go by, it's going to be a sure fire winner, so to speak.

Other albums that are still on my 'To-do' list are

    Darkthrone - Sardonic Wrath
    Bjork - Medulla
Anaal Nathrakh - Domine Non Es Dignus

Although, if you count Mithras' World Beyond The Veil as it was released on Century Media this year, then so far that's definetly album of the year for me. Nothing short of one of the most phenominal, breath-taking, challenging albums I've heard in my life.

Try and avoid what others have said.

In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape

    The Haunted - rEVOLVEr

Slipknot - Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)

    Nightwish - Once

    1) Evergrey - The Inner Circle
Un-f**king-believably good album, amasing from start to finish, cant get enough of that album, album of the year for me.

    2) Wintersun - Wintersun
One of the best self titled albums I have heard, think of them as a more power metal version of Children of Bodom, and your not too far off, amasing album from an amasing band, listening to it now actually, one of the best debut albums since

    3) Threshold - Critical Energy
A great 2 CD set of live songs, I rarely like live albums, but this one really is superb, excellent stuff altogether, with some class riff's throughout.

    4) Nightwish - Once
Another bloody good album from Nightwish, still havent lost their touch which is nice.

They would be the main 4 albums that have stood out as being truely superb, alot of good albums this year though, always good to see.

The System Has Failed is pathetic!

Mustaines attempt to be political is as bad as lack of originality of the music.

"Air Force One Has Been Shot Down" wow, genius.

Leave the politics to Mr. De Le Rocha.

No he is not, but as far as bringing politics to a younger mainstream audience i think he has it in the bag.

Well, the new Enslaved album 'Isa' has indeed arrived at last, and it's really something else altogether. I'm just listening to it on repeat for the past few days, and it's really starting to open up. Phenominal stuff.
