    RincewindTheWizzard is the single funniest character ever made!
    (wizzard is written on his hat btw. and yes I know it has 2 z's but thats whats on his hat!)

    Personnally, I have always found the Rincewind books to be rather weak compared to the rest - espically when compared to the Watch books (Gaurds! Gaurds!, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay, Jingo, The Fifth Elephant).

    "Lords and Ladies"

    this was most definately terry's best book, and have read them all. but rincewind is the funniest character, alltho i also like weatherwax, shes as hard as nails

    Rincewind is a gob****e - the librarian is the man (funniest part in all the books was in Soul Music when the dwarf comes to the University looking for the librarian, and asks for the monkey)

    have, when the elves came. the ogg's were good allright, how Shawn Ogg was the army and stuff, but the Death of Rats is hard to beat, and the Librarian is just consistently funny

    has the librarian always been the librarian as far as we are concerned, of do we actually know who he was before hand.
    i only ask because i've read everything, but all i can find is reference to his former identity, which is only known by rincewind (which is hard to believe, seeing as rincewind isn't the oldest 'magician' smile.gif )

    He is briefly mentioned when the accident happens in the Colour of Magic. I think it is a case of he's been an Ape for so long, that they simply can't remeber what he looked like before.

    How about in sorcery(or moving pictures, don't know which) when he swings off the tower to try to rescue the girl, then remembers what the rope is tied to.
