Any suggestions on good books to read on holidays? Something that goes well with Pina Coladas or Bacardi and Coke (sniff sniff).

    stephen king
    its easy to read.
the plots are easy on the brain.
you dont have to remember loads of edtails if you dont read the book for 2 hours
    its entertaining
it usually lasts the entire holiday if you get a big book
the print is big and easy to read with a hangover

if its a stephen king, go for one of the short stories books - they're actually very good, some of them

I said I was going on holidays folks not to prison but I will check out Stephen King and the big print/short stories and let you know.

Any other suggestions, also the other half who would describe himself as the betta half is into David Gemell and stuff. Any ideas of decent books on the shelves in that category?

All of David Gemell's books are very good. If you want a starting point then grab his first novel 'Legend'.
