Have a msi bluetooth device (bluetoe) and while it worked fine in SP1 the upgrade to SP2 borked it good and proper.

Using the SP2 driver I can send stuff to my phone but not recieve.
Can't use the MSI drivers because when I insert the USB device XP picks it up and installs the drivers.

I've even tried not using the XP driver by renaming the bth.inf and bth.PNF so XP wouldn't install the driver as talked about here

Even tried a go at this but to no avail.

Anyone help... or get it to work I'd be most grateful.

It seems to me that xp is "helpfully" installing what it thinks is the right driver for your device?
    You could try:
left-click my computer -> manage -> device manager
look for the device in the list.
Update the driver with your one :D
Hopefully it will solve your problem
Otherwise google groups is great for this stuff or micro$oft.com

i had the same problem with a billionton usb bluetooth dongle..

do a roll back on your sp2(it wont let you install without archiving so you can uninstall) then install your device and then reinstall sp2 and thats the only way ive thought of fixing it because its simple and it works

I would of done that but I created a slipstreamed XP SP2 cd so I wouldn't have to install it each time.
I've had enough and going back to Linux.
Where getting it running is a lot easier.
Thanks to those who tried to help.
